Welcome to Bar 67, a modern Irish sports and live music venue located on the world-famous Puerto del Carmen strip in Lanzarote.
The Murphy Brothers
From Dublin to Lanzarote
Bar 67 was founded in 2021 by the Murphy brothers, David and Wayne, originally from Dublin, Ireland. Before opening Bar 67, we spent many years working alongside our parents in the famous Old Triangle, learning the Irish bar trade properly from the ground up and building a reputation within the Irish community in Lanzarote.
Football, music and Irish hospitality have always been a massive part of our lives. As lifelong Celtic supporters, we travelled home and away following the club over the years, and David also spent time working in New York at the legendary New York Celtic Supporters Club in The Parlour Bar before it sadly closed during COVID.
Taking the Leap
The Dream Becomes Bar 67
The dream was always to open our own Irish Celtic bar on the Puerto del Carmen strip. When the opportunity came during the uncertainty of COVID, we took the risk and went for it. A lot of people doubted the idea at the time, but thankfully Bar 67 quickly became one of the best-known Irish venues on the island.
The name Bar 67 comes from the historic year Celtic won the European Cup in 1967, while also matching our address on Avenida de las Playas 67.
Today
Music, Sport & The Best Guinness on Lanzarote
Today, Bar 67 is known for live Irish music seven nights a week, quality Irish-style bar food, premium drinks, cocktails and what many people call the best Guinness on Lanzarote. We show all the major live sport every week, with Celtic and Ireland matchdays always creating a special atmosphere inside the bar.
Right next door, we also proudly run Wayne's Steakhouse, another family-run venue built with the same passion and attention to quality.
